Psalm 119

Let us pray:
Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who live with spiritual integrity! Blessed are those who honor the Inner Being, who follow You with their whole hearts, who enfold the world with love and walk on peaceful paths!

You have shown us the way of Truth, the way that leads to freedom, I, that I might ever reflect the Light! Then I shall know inner peace, as I surrender myself into your Hands. I will praise You with a grateful heart, as I lean on your great kindness. As I forsake the path of darkness, O have mercy on me. Amen.

Psalm 37

Let us pray, O Lord,

Give no heed to those who are greedy, attend not to those who do wrong. For, like the green grass of spring, they soon fade and wither away. Trust in the Most High, and seek goodness; live harmoniously upon the earth in peace and assurance. Take delight in the Beloved, and enjoy the bountiful gifts of love. Commit your life to he Beloved, confident that Love will act on your behalf, making clear your pathway bright as the sun at midday.

Fountain of Wisdom

O Lord our God, you are the beginning of knowledge and the fountain of wisdom. Quicken in us a desire to learn more of you, your ways and your Word. Enlighten by the power of the Holy Spirit those who teach and those who learn so that together we rejoice in the knowledge of you truth, the truth that sets us free.

Consecrate us now to your service Lord so that as we grow in grace and love we may live generously sharing with others the hope of salvation and the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Psalm 124

If it had not been the Lord who was on our side – let Israel now say – if it had not been the Lord who was on our side when people rose up against us, then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us; then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; then over us would have gone the ragging waters.

Blessed be the Lord who has not given us as prey to their teeth! Our help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 75

I yearn to know You, O Beloved, to abide in the Peace of Love; I choose to turn from the ways of the world, where ego separates and divides.

“At the set time which I appoint, I will judge with equity. When the earth totters with all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady the axis.”

I say to the powerful, “Lead with justice and mercy.” And to the greedy, “Share your abundance with those in need. Le no one see your acts of mercy or know your works of charity.”

Psalm 21

In your strength I rejoice, O my beloved, and in your Presence my heart finds rest! You heed the heart’s desire, answering the cry of the soul, and You bestow blessing upon blessing; Your love is as a crown of fine gold upon my head. I asked for life; and life you provide, eternal life comes through you Love. Amen

Today is a good day to thank God for Life. As the psalmist said, he asked for life and God provided that life. What kind of life are you asking God for?

Empower Our Lives

Praying together and out loud, we pray:

Gracious God, we come before you, unworthy of your grace, unworthy of your love and unworthy of you. Have mercy on us, O Lord. Today, we come in confession that too often we have chosen the fruit over the garden; too often we have bowed down to the golden calf; too often we have begged for a sign; too often we have declared Caesar to be Lord; too often we have demanded to see the wounds in your hands; too often we have substituted our image of you, for you. Too often we have neglected your call to be salt and light; too often we have reduced our relationship with you to a moral code; too often we have forgotten Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection; too often we have acted on sight and not on faith.

Lord, have mercy. Heal us now. Open our eyes. Empower our lives. Fill our hearts with your eternal love.
In the matchless Name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Keeping Company

O God, I rejoice today that I can spend time just being with you. No matter how much I love those you placed in my life, I love being alone in your presence for this moment. Let me fall into your arms, again. Let me taste and see that you are good, again. Let me drink deeply from your refreshing pools of living water, again. Feed me, O bread of heaven until I want no more.

Keeping company with you, the source of all wisdom, knowledge and power, leads to a greater revelation beyond human achievement.
Tutor my spirit, when I need to be challenged
Assure my heart when fear seeks to overtake my faith; and
Satisfy our hunger for certainty and control.

Just being with you helps us to entrust our lives to you more and more each day realizing that you are closer to us than we are to ourselves.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Psalm 17

Together we can Pray A Psalm:

Listen to my heart, O Love Divine; hear the cry within me! Heed my prayer from lips that would utter truth! For in You do I seek justice! Be Thou my eyes that I may see clarity.

If You try my heart, if You visit me by night, if You test me, You will discover my only desire is to draw closer to You. I see the injustice and the oppression piercing the hearts of your people.

Be Thou my feet that I may walk along your paths; that I may be a benevolent presence on life’s highway. Amen.

Most gracious Presence, let me not be arrogant, nor boastful of my virtuous deeds; Let me not seek fame or set my heart on the riches of the world. Help me to calm and quiet my soul, like a child quieted at its mother’s breast; like a child that is quieted, be so my soul.

Just to Know

Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know, To love what I ought to love, To praise what delights Thee most, To value what is precious in Thy sight, To hate what is offensive to Thee. Do not suffer me to judge according to the sight of my eyes, Nor to pass sentence according to the hearing of the ears of ignorant men; But to discern with a true judgment between things visible and spiritual, And above all, always to inquire what is the good pleasure of Thy will.

Today and Tomorrow

Lord of yesterday and today, you consistently call us to be pioneers of a future that is still on the way. Today, give us a vision of what the tomorrow which is already on the view screen of heaven looks like. Then as we venture forward, give us the courage to turn away from a no-risk life, certainty, and worldly ambitions to be a sojourner of faith, secure in the revelation that we do not travel alone. Thank you for never leaving us nor forsaking us.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Again

Eternal and Everlasting God, thank you for being ready to hear our prayers again. We boldly come to the throne of grace seeking mercy because we have fallen short of your Glory. We remained safely silent when we should have spoken on behalf of another again. We ignored the hurt and pain of those around us again. We have spent too much time on our own needs and neglected our relationship with you again. God of compassion and chances, we confess our sins to you. We seek forgiveness and your healing. Wash us again. Cleanse our hearts and minds again. Give us another chance again. Help us to rise above the "again" that so easily besets us today. In Jesus name, Amen.
